• Sherlock Returns

After a long wait for one of the largest fandoms to exist, Cumberbatch and co. are back with season 4 of 'Sherlock'. This piece not only gives a brief idea about what exactly it is about this show that drives people crazy in the best of ways, but also gives us a satirical commentary on how this season premiere is relevant now. "An actual billionaire comic-book villain is preparing to move into the White House, for real, so now seems like the perfect time for the return of this most British of superheroes," the Guardian says.

    1. Why do you think the writer decided to include Trump in this piece?

    2. In all the Sherlock episodes, he had to stop a huge mishap somewhere around the world from happening. There was always a sliver of thread connecting the smallest of the small cases to something huge and controversial. By including Trump in the piece, the writer is implicitly saying that Trump is a train wreck of a decision that has been made and someone as intellectually able as Sherlock can even attempt to solve this, which is what America needs right now.

    3. Trump is going to be the most powerful person in the world very soon. This is a scary thought to all those who have a heart. Those people need a hero. Sherlock is one.
